Aerial Animation is Abigail’s signature live performance: a modern twist on silent film, where she hangs mid-air and becomes puppet-like inside a giant hand-drawn animated story. It is acrobatics, animation, and physical theater woven into one piece about overcoming life’s challenges, where the improbable becomes believable and the impossible becomes achievable.
The story on stage
Following in the footsteps of Buster Keaton, the work uses projection mapping and live-cue software so the animation, puppets, and acrobatics respond to one another in real time. Individual vignettes run from 90 seconds to seven minutes and can be performed alone or in sequence. Existing footage can be tailored with your logos and imagery, and fully custom animations are possible with around three months’ lead time. The full-length one-hour show, Nothing Really Matters, brings it all together and is built to tour.
